Children's Hospital Eye Department
Colourways were lead by the redecorated department.
Narratives were suggested by creating a miscellany of things around the lives of the characters — genealogies and loose speculative fictions.
Here the graphics can be seen in situ and be realised as part of an assessment dialogue, softening the experience for the patient between the artwork and the Snellen chart. 'How many fish can you count?', 'How many star fish can you see?'...
Commissioned by Artfelt to improve the visual environment of the Sheffield Children's Hospital Eye Department, I made illustrations and graphics to provide an interactive aesthetic that could also be appropriated as part of an assessment dialogue between doctor and patient. The artwork content was developed around a group of friends and their adventures, exploring different themes across various rooms.
